As you taste a Winterfest Appetizer sampler for 2 in the Fireside Rathskeller with the Adirondacks only hand-crafted Wine & Bier Keller with over 250 specialty beers and over 350 boutique wines. Chef Cathy Hohmeyer’s Winterfest menu changes nightly and an example of her Romance Sampler for 2 may include Adirondack Game sausages smoked on the Lodge smoker marinated in Bamberg smoked beer, hand-cut Adirondack Artisanal Cheeses and Wild caught Salmon Potato Pancakes with Caviar sour cream and other Adirondack Alps delectable’s!

To our 1886 hand-hewn dining room for a romantic dinner that begins with a hand-crafted soup, Winterfest salad and your choice from among 8-12 main entrees as we delight you with our focus on Adirondack local tastes with slow-cooked Old World flair. Chef Cathy’s faire changes nightly and includes unique vegetarian entrees, wild caught fish and Old World delights with Adirondack flair such as Grass-fed Beef Stroganoff, Ernst’s Roast Pork Loin, Chicken Schnitzel and slow-cooked roasts.

Valentine’s Cooking Class for Couples!

Adirondack Life magazine recently featured Chef Cathy Hohmeyer’s Adirondack Cooking School as a “…incredible sensory experience… [where] that kind of hands-on fun is only part of the draw”. Chef Cathy has created a special Valentine’s Weekend Cooking Class for Couples: Adding Spice to Your Life: Culinary Aphrodisiacs! This hands-on and fun workshop will focus on natural ingredients, sensual foods, herbs and spices designed to zest up your food and scintillate your relationship – or at least have fun in the making! This “how-to” afternoon workshop includes a history of foods thought to be aphrodisiacs plus recipes and tastings. Now, find out how to cook with some of them! $140 per couple includes all instruction, ingredients, recipes and a special tasting (you will need to bring the romance)!
